Flying on an airplane is always a great pleasure. There is no faster transport service than air transport. We absolutely enjoy the advantages of being able to travel to different regions of the world in a couple of hours, often at a low price. Find out in our new blog what things you could get for free on a plane. What can make your flight easier and more enjoyable?
Things you could get for free on a plane
Although the associated costs of air travel can be expensive, luckily, there are some things you can get on the airplane for free. You would be astonished at what you can get for free if you just know what to ask for.
Snacks
You can usually get free extra snack bags if you ask for them. As long as they aren’t entirely gone, flight attendants on most airlines will gladly give you a second helping of the complimentary peanuts, pretzels, or other snacks.

On longer flights, some airlines may offer a more substantial snack or even a meal, depending on the time of day and the length of the flight.
Water Refills
As you know you can’t bring H20 or any other liquids more than 3.4 oz. but you can bring an empty reusable water bottle. Asking flight attendants to refill your reusable water bottle instead of just refilling a plastic disposable bottle that you bought at the airport can be a good way to save. This is important to stay hydrated during the flight, as the cabin air can be very dry.

Additionally, most airlines also provide complimentary soft drinks and juices, as well as tea and coffee. Depending on the airline and the length of the flight, some may offer additional beverage options such as beer, wine, or spirits for free.
Headphones
You can get complimentary earplugs from the flight attendant if you ask for them. Admittedly, these are inferior to the ones you already own, but if you broke them or forgot them at home, these will have to do. In addition, they are cost-free.
Free Wi-Fi
Many airlines also offer free Wi-Fi on their flights, although this is often limited in terms of speed and data usage. This can be a useful way to stay connected and entertained during the flight, particularly for business travelers or those who need to work on the go.
Basic medication
Airplanes do stock common medications like Aspirin and antacid. But we wouldn’t put our faith in it, because they may be sitting there for ages. If you think you might get sick during the travel, it’s advisable to have your own medication with you.

Comfort items like blankets and pillows
Even while pillows and blankets won’t be placed at each seat, flight attendants can typically help you get what you need. These can be particularly useful on longer flights, where passengers may want to rest or sleep during the flight.
Extra Storage Space
Don’t let your suit jacket get creased before that important meeting, ask for extra storage space. It’s possible to store valuables like suits, heirlooms, and musical instruments safely in the extra space available on much larger aircraft. You can get this at no cost, but you have to specifically ask for it; not all airplanes offer it.
Special atmosphere for the youngest
Air travel no longer features tours of the cockpit due to safety concerns. But flight attendants can arrange a meet-and-greet with the captain upon boarding if you are flying with children.
These are some of the things that can make your flight more pleasant and comfortable without you knowing that you can get them for free.
