On Tuesday, June 17th, 2025, a landmark cooperation agreement was signed at the passenger terminal of Olsztyn-Mazury Airport in Szymany between Warmia i Mazury Sp. z o.o., the regional airport operator, and AMS POLAND Sp. z o.o., a company within the Poente Technical Group, specializing in advanced technical services for the aviation sector.
This agreement paves the way for the implementation of the Flight Eco Center project – a bold initiative to develop a modern hangar complex dedicated to the comprehensive maintenance, dismantling, and recycling of aircraft. The project directly addresses global sustainability challenges in aviation and the growing demand for specialized aircraft end-of-life services.
As part of the agreement, AMS POLAND will act as the operator of the future recycling facility. The initiative is of strategic importance, both economically and environmentally, aligning with the Warmia and Mazury 2030 Regional Development Strategy and the 2021–2027 European Funds for Warmia and Mazury.

Wiktor Wójcik, CEO of Olsztyn-Mazury Airport, emphasized the significance of the project for the airport and the region:
“The construction of a modern aircraft recycling center is a key element of our development strategy. Partnering with an experienced technical service provider is a major milestone in establishing Szymany as a hub for sustainable, full-scope aircraft servicing and dismantling. The next step is securing EU funding for the hangar construction – an investment that will generate high-quality jobs and reinforce the airport’s role in the regional economy.”

Nikola Vuković, CEO of AMS POLAND and representative of the Poente Technical Group, confirmed the company’s full commitment to the initiative:
“Launching operations at Olsztyn-Mazury Airport marks a strategic milestone in the development of AMS POLAND and the entire Poente Technical Group. Our planned hangar, dedicated to aircraft recycling, will enable us to deliver comprehensive services in dismantling, material recovery, and component reuse – all in compliance with the highest industry and environmental standards. We chose Szymany for its excellent infrastructure and the strong growth potential of the Warmia and Mazury region. We believe our presence will help drive local employment and economic activity.”
The Flight Eco Center is positioned to become the first facility of its kind in northeastern Poland, enhancing the role of Olsztyn-Mazury Airport as an innovative and strategic point on Poland’s aviation map.
